What I like about RSS and newsreaders is that you can get up-to-date information without having to constantly check old information to see if there is anything new added. I also like that you can easily and quickly scroll through new posts and have them NOT pop up as new anymore by simply clicking next, whether you wanted to read through that one or not. I also like that you can * certain ones to easily access again/in the future.
I will definitely be searching for RSS feeds that peak my interest in my personal life (health, outdoors, home improvement) as well as linking to feeds that can inspire, teach, and/or educate myself AND my students about the world of Photography (and teaching in general for myself).
Again, educators (me being an educator myself) can use RSS by subscribing to newsfeeds that relate to education in general or to our specific subject matter. Just introducing students to the idea of using RSS would help them take advantage of technology and would help save them time when doing research!
